Cooperation between hospitals and food banks
A lot of food is left-over in hospitals every day, and a number of hospitals have consequently intensified their cooperation with local food banks. Because many of the meals are already prepared, hospitals find it difficult to transport them to the food banks themselves. Instead, a set-up is often chosen in which families can use the staff restaurant at certain times.
These initiatives are highly appreciated by the hospital’s patients (3) and employees (2). Of course, these projects are a great contribution to a better society (3).
