Cyborgs

Besides the rise of robots in healthcare, in the near future we may also encounter cyborgs on the street or become one ourselves. A cyborg is partly human and partly machine and these are already in the making! As human beings we become more and more physically equipped with techniques that remove a certain limitation or make our bodies stronger.

In principle, this now only happens for medical purposes, for example if a heart no longer works properly or if someone is disabled. The patient then receives a pacemaker or a prosthesis. Some prosthetics can even be controlled by the wearer with the brain. Sounds are already emerging that our brain can be connected to the cloud in the future. Anyway, we are getting more and more opportunities to tinker with the body and the senses.
