Agile working in large organizations
Characteristic for an organization with an Agile mindset are the self-managing teams that apply Agile methods, such as Scrum, to projects. However, how does this work when several independent teams are working on the same product or service? How do you facilitate optimal collaboration between teams? Who bears responsibility for the whole thing?
At Spotify they have found a way to implement an Agile way of working down to the fibre. Spotify’s organisational model now serves as an example for various multinationals, including ING. In this article, the so-called Spotify Model is examined.
One thing is clear, employees find it a very nice way of working (3) because of the great independence and the fact that they still contribute to the big picture. Customers also appreciate the way of working (2), because new functionality can be delivered very quickly and flexibly.
