Standardize

To make it possible to exchange data, it is of the utmost importance to standardize the format of the data. If this is not in order, a kind of translation table must be created for each link. By the way, the patient files are about 800 to 900 different fields.

Standadizing / Making Patient Data Accessible

Standardizing database data are projects that IT professionals (-2) and employees in an organization (-1) are not really waiting for.

During the project, customers sometimes suffer from standardization (-1), but it is highly necessary to be able to take the next steps. Healthcare institutions, as customers of IT companies, are again satisfied (2) of the work that data companies perform.

In the Netherlands, the MedMij organisation is involved in getting this standardisation done.

Actually make available of patients data

If data is actually made available to patients, they greatly appreciate this (3). If the data can be exchanged digitally between healthcare institutions, this will of course also be of great benefit to healthcare workers (3). Employees of data companies are divided. On average they score a 0 for this kind of projects.
